Tenacity Is Not A Place

What is tenacity in pursuit of futility?
What is tenacity in pursuit of adventure?
What is tenacity in pursuit of the unknown?
To know or to get there or to be on the path, or all of that?
At the beginning we cannot know that a pursuit is futile.
Is tenacity in pursuit of futility insanity?
Insanity in this sense may be unavoidable.
Or is futility a construct of will and rigidity,
holding us to a course and a sense of self?
When is it time to turn the wheel and try a different course?

"You can't always get what you want but if you try some time, you just might find, you get what you need." - Rolling Stones 1969

"I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!" - Barry Goldwater 1964

"Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” - Mark 11:22-24 (NIV)
